Images will be presented in the catalog for a given period of time without fees or charge for publication viewing via the internet website. Entries are to be submitted by electronic file only but may be from scanned images creating an electronic file. Files are to be sent by e-mail only no zip files, CD or other hard copy submission will be excepted.

All entrants are advised to check the status of their entries frequently.

4. Image Files:

All images must be submitted on the image entry form in JPEG format. A maximum of (4) entries may be submitted by one entrant.

Entries must be submitted by online form only, no zip files, CD, or other form of file storage device will be accepted or returned. Entrants are required to use the form found on the website.

All images should be sent at once to avoid problems organizing your files for judging.  Once submitted, the number of images recieved is displayed on the salon entry status page.

5. How to identify your JPEG files:

On upload of jpeg images, the website renames your files, therefore the actual file name does not matter. However, we recommend that there is no spaces or special characters in the filename.

The files will be renamed to the format "lastname-firstinitial-unique4digitsbasedontime-sectionletterimagenumber.jpg

Ex: Doe-J-1834-A1.jpg,Doe-J-1834-A2.jpg

There is a separate line on the entry form for the TITLE. DO NOT USE THE TITLE FOR FILE NAME. Doing so my cause your entry to appear as having no title and therefore not by judged.

6. Entry File Dimensions and Size:

The maximum file dimensions are 1024 pixels by 768 pixels. If a file size does not meet criteria the online submission form will not accept the submission. Please keep the overall image file under  4 MB.

7. Judging:

Images will be judged while projected on a screen with electronic projector using a 1024 X 768 pixels set to 16.7 million colors. Entrant’s files will be distributed into the 4 rounds of judging with each judge having a score of 2-9. A total of the judge’s scores will be a composite not to exceed 27 points for each file. Three persons will be used to make a judging panel all of whom have experience in the general color photographic field.

Scores will be available on the website and entrants are encouraged to visit the site to monitor their entries.

Judging will occur February 16-17, 2008 with acceptance results posted by the 22nd of February, 2008.

Acceptance notification will be held on the website for 6 months.
