2008 Houston Camera Club and Greater San Antonio Camera Club "Scavenger Hunt Competition" – May 1st, 2008
GSACC’s annual Scavenger Hunt competition with the Houston Camera Club is scheduled for Saturday, March 1. This year, it
was Houston’s turn to plan the competition between our clubs.
Houston planned the following event:
Texas Independence Day Scavenger Hunt at Washington on the Brazos:
A photographic scavenger hunt will be held at Washington on the Brazos on Saturday, March 1. This event will take place from
10 a.m.-6 p.m.
This year’s contest will be Projected Images (slide film and digital images). All entries must be taken at Washington on the Brazos.
Each club must submit two slides and two digital images of each listed subject (a total of 32 slides and 32 digital images).
Rules
Film: Contestants may use any type of film of their choice. All subjects must be shot on one roll. Spot slide in the usual manner.
Title slide with subject letter and contestant’s assigned number. For example “C -2 ”.
Digital Images: Contestants must resize images for projection to 1024x768. Title each image with subject letter and contestant’s
assigned number on a CD. For example “C – 2”.
Lunch at the picnic area. Bring your own or purchase food from one of the vendors. We will try to meet around noon.
Directions to the Scavenger Hunt site from San Antonio:
Go I-10 East to Highway 77 North, then take 290 East to Brenham.
From Brenham, take Highway 105 East 14 miles and turn right on FM 912 to Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site. This is
about 3 hours from San Antonio. GSACC members may want to contact each other and arrange carpools.
