Gulf States results

Here are the Gulf States results for the August 2009 Projected Digital competition. These images were judged by the Jackson Photo Society. I received these results in late October, after the November/December Flash had been printed.

None of the following images placed. Results are listed alphabetically by the maker’s last name:

The Fiddler, By Dick Boone, 9 points
Basilica of Notre Dame, by Jenny Fowler, 11 points
Old Herring Smokehouse, by John Rudolph, 11 points
Fantasy Vision, by Hariharan Swaminathan, 9 points

Winning scores ranged from 11-13 points. The Lions Field Camera Club had the top two images. “Maine Lighthouse,” by former GSACC member Bill Thomas, placed first. “Beauty and the Beast,” by Dick Boone, placed second.

Next, here are the Photojournalism Projected results from October 2009. These images were judged by Plano PC.

Winning scores ranged from 12-13 points.

The November Nature prints were judged by the Houston Camera Club. None of GSACC’s images placed. Here are our scores. Results are listed alphabetically by the maker’s last name:

Showing Off, by Cathy Hood, 11 points
Red Fox, by Gerald Jendrusch, 10 points
Rocky Mountain Sunrise, by John Rudolph, 10 points

The first, second, third and 1st HM images each had 13 points. The 2nd HM scored 12 points.

Finally, we have scores for the November Pictorial Color and Pictorial B&W print categories. Both of these categories were judged by the Oklahoma Camera Club.
